In Justin Waller’s mailer this morning (Oct3), he states that the question he always asks himself with any friendship I have is:
“Are we educating ourselves?”
“Are we working toward financial, physical, and developmental goals?”
He ends, the message by saying;
“Even if you’re making millions of dollars a year and your friend is making $30,000 a year…
It does not matter.
What matters is the exchanged value of growth together and FOR ONE ANOTHER.”
Over the past year, a global group of self-development enthusiasts has come together daily via Zoom. We push each other, study the teachings of great thinkers, and tackle current challenges in our personal and professional lives. You can view daily short videos of these calls on my Instagram: [Brandon Angel Fitness](https://www.instagram.com/brandonangelfitness/). We have been able to overcome some of life’s greatest challenges through this process.
Many are familiar especially The Real World with membership models.
Our group has established firm standards. We meet early, value punctuality, and expect consistent participation. Each meeting typically includes burpees, push-ups, and more—which have become more than just physical exercise, they’ve become a symbol of the group’s commitment to discipline and personal growth. While we’re understanding and supportive of those who struggle, we maintain high expectations. The group has evolved over time, with different layers forming as new members join and core members branch off for more intense sessions.
Our journey is unique, and we often feel and, refer to it as ‘divinely guided.’ We’re now the seventh “splinter” group of the original, and with each evolution, the commitment and intensity deepen. With the right leadership and strategic facilitation, I see tremendous potential for this movement to scale into something much larger—a new cultural staple. We could create structured, highly effective self-development networks—that step it up and develop as groups or Real World winner groups—operating with their own apps, resources, and support systems that maximize personal growth and productivity.
Currently, I’m involved in three offshoots of this self-development community, and it’s fascinating to see how team dynamics develop in these globally connected, highly motivated environments.
Today, in our 5 a.m. burpee-centered group, members shared some of the core benefits they’ve experienced:
– Life-changing daily challenges
– A daily push to improve
– Gaining a consistent perspective shift
– Forming a second family with positive influences
– Processing confusion and staying on track
– Having a space to bounce ideas off peers who understand the journey of self-development
For those on a dedicated, daily self-development path, our community becomes invaluable. Many conversations can only happen with people who are on the same trajectory—constantly evolving, improving, and striving for greatness.
With the right support, this initiative could grow into a global movement with many brands and the inspiration for more personal mastery and lifelong self-improvement. The model is in place; now it’s time to expand.
Coaching and consulting are already solid millionaire and “life-changing” models, we are talking about keeping people on the course.
Andrew and Tristan grew from message crafting, and with the right messages no one was talking about. To -empower and inspire more of this, would be congruent with the goals of Matrix Escape and these groups can further work to support other businesses and products. Facilitating them specifically with software, web locations, and impressive internetworking environments [x] could be nuclear.
Recently, Andrew released this advice
“Stop trying to do it alone, a team will be needed to accomplish big things.”
To facilitate the growth of self-development groups like your current self-development splinter cell into a sustainable business model, we’ll need a well-defined, scalable structure. Below is a detailed business plan to help turn these groups into a global movement, leveraging your current success and expanding it into a highly profitable venture.
Vision: To build a global network of highly committed individuals focused on daily personal development through accountability, discipline, and structured growth.
Mission: To create a sustainable system of self-development groups that empower members to improve their lives holistically—mentally, physically, emotionally, and socially—by providing them with tools, community, and accountability.
A subscription-based membership can be created with different membership tiers based on commitment level and benefits. The basic plan can offer access to daily Zoom calls, community resources, and video recordings. The premium plan can include personalized coaching, access to specialized group calls, fitness and nutrition plans, and progress tracking. The mastery plan can offer one-on-one coaching, exclusive content, access to live events, and a high-level mastermind community.
For pricing, the basic plan can be set [example] at $30 per month, the premium plan at $75 per month, and the mastery plan at $250 per month.
In addition to membership plans, organizing quarterly or semi-annual retreats can enhance commitment and boost community-building. These retreats can range from $500 to $1,500 per participant, offering an additional high-margin income stream.
Online courses and content can be developed to offer value beyond the group calls. These courses can cover topics like leadership, fitness, mental resilience, and self-discipline. They can be sold separately or bundled with memberships, with pricing ranging from $99 to $499 depending on the depth of the content.
Branded products like fitness gear, supplements, journals, or personal development tools can serve as both an income stream and a promotional tool. Additionally, an affiliate and referral program can be created to encourage members to refer others, earning discounts or commissions, and boosting organic growth.
New next-level cultures- literally! [x]
PHASE 1 THE COMMUNITY APP
To grow the business, a digital marketing campaign can be launched using platforms like Instagram and YouTube. Daily videos of group workouts, personal development talks, and member testimonials can engage potential members. Targeted ads on Facebook, Instagram, and Google can focus on personal development enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and fitness communities. A content marketing strategy involving blog posts, articles, and success stories from members can further establish credibility.
Partnerships with influencers and thought leaders in the personal development space can boost visibility. Collaborating with high-profile influencers can immediately lend credibility to the groups and attract a wider audience.
Corporate partnerships can be developed by offering corporate packages that help businesses improve the mental and physical well-being of their employees. Many companies now invest in wellness programs, and the self-development group centered on accountability and personal mastery would be a unique offering.
To scale the business, group leaders will be essential. Training programs for group leaders can be created, offering certification and a revenue-sharing model where leaders earn a percentage of membership fees. Facilitator training programs can focus on leadership techniques, personal development coaching strategies, and managing group dynamics.
Technology will be key in scaling operations efficiently. Investing in a custom platform or app to manage groups, track progress, and offer resources is vital. The platform can include features like daily check-ins, video conferencing integration, progress tracking, a resource library, community chat forums, and push notifications to increase engagement. Alternatively, partnering with platforms like Teachable, Kajabi, or Mighty Networks can allow the business to scale quickly without the need for custom development.
Content creation will be necessary to keep members engaged and continually learning. Weekly articles and videos on topics like mental toughness, habit formation, leadership, and resilience can provide ongoing value. Additionally, hosting interviews with experts and thought leaders can enrich the community experience.
Customer acquisition can be accelerated through free trials and challenges. Offering free trial periods or 30-day self-development challenges can lower the entry barrier and showcase the value of membership. Hosting free webinars featuring influential speakers can also generate interest, and offering limited-time discounts or exclusive content afterward can convert participants into paid members.
Referral incentive programs can help foster organic growth by rewarding current members who refer new participants.
Revenue streams will include memberships, courses, retreats, and merchandise. For memberships, a group of 15 people per Zoom group, with 10 groups per day globally, could scale to 150 members quickly. At an average subscription of $50 per month, this would generate $7,500 per month initially. Online courses and eBooks could bring in an extra $3,000 per month, and retreats could generate $10,000 to $20,000 per quarter. Branded fitness gear and supplements could bring in $1,500 per month.
Costs will include technology development, content creation, group leader payments, marketing, and event logistics. The custom app development might require an upfront cost of $10,000, with $500 per month for maintenance. Content creation could cost $3,000 per month, and digital ads and influencer marketing would need a $5,000 per month budget. Facilitator payments will range from 30 to 50 percent of group revenue, while retreats will involve venue, travel, and logistical costs.
Key metrics for success include the member retention rate, daily attendance and engagement, referral rate, and churn rate. Keeping retention above 85 percent and reducing churn will be crucial to ensuring steady growth.
In the long term, global expansion can be achieved by building groups in different regions and time zones, and by translating content for different cultures. The app can evolve into a marketplace for self-development coaches, speakers, and products. Licensing and franchising the group structure can allow others to run their own cells under the brand. Corporate wellness programs can be developed to offer businesses a unique self-development system.
With the right leadership, scalable systems, and strategic partnerships, this model can grow into a global business that empowers thousands, if not millions, to elevate their personal development. The combination of structure, community, and tools, could help to create millions of small interest groups and teams that work well together and study principles of unity, substance, and next-level uncontaminated arts and sciences, developing incredible new frontiers of exploration and potential, overcoming life’s hardest challenges [1,2,3,4,].
